About the Guardian Self-Defense Karate Program

Guardian Self-Defense is a family of students growing together in remarkable ways. Our Karate Program helps students take control of their lives, create fulfilling relationships, and build high levels of confidence and self-esteem.

The Guardian Self-Defense Karate Program is a world class martial arts program geared towards men, women and children. Our program teaches the full curriculum of Goju-ryu karate ("hard-soft style"), as created by Miyagi Chojun. Goju-ryu is one of the four traditional styles of karate with a progressive focus on the development of the mind, body and spirit through the practice of practical self defense techniques.

Our technical curriculum includes a wide spectrum of kihon (basics), kata (forms) and kumite (engagement matches). Kihon, Kata and Kumite. At Guardian Self-Defense we provide not only the core techniques that are the foundation of any martial arts program, but we also teach a method of tactical analysis that will help you to avoid dangerous situations and recognize the signs of eminent danger.

We also seek to integrate the technical curriculum of Goju-ryu with the development of a healthy mind, body and spirit. It is through this challenge that personal growth is realized and our students have an experience that one will never forget.

At Guardian Self-Defense our instructor combines decades of experience in traditional martial arts with cutting edge educational methods and techniques.
