Our programs have been proven to reduce stress, increase fitness, and improve self-confidence. At Guardian Self-Defense, students will find a complete system of martial arts consisting of self-defense, exercise and meditation. This is a "real life" Mixed martial arts and self-defense program, focusing on the most effective strategies, tactics, and techniques.

 

The paradox of martial arts training is that while remaining a very potent style of self defense, it stresses non-violence. Knowledge and skill in karate builds self-confidence and self-esteem without causing egotistical behavior. This calm proficiency seems to emanate from you. It has a quieting effect on your personality and on those around you. Because you are not provocative, others are not either. A less selfish, more harmonious and balanced pattern of behavior develops. There is also an emphasis on positive thinking and concentration of energy. Your total being (mind, body, and spirit) is made to work in the most efficient and effective manner possible. This focus on total mind/body coordination allows us to overcome size, age and strength limitations. It also is a major factor in reducing stress particularly when under attack.
